An easy tramp covering a total of about 12km in and back to the car park. In longer, good-weather days this tramp can be extended in wards to reach the Tall Chimney Biv – giving more or less 8km in then out again, but remember it is uphill on the return leg.
An easy tramp covering a total of about 12km in and back to the car park. In longer, good-weather days this tramp can be extended in wards to reach the Tall Chimney Biv – giving more or less 8km in then out again, but remember it is uphill on the return leg. Not an exciting scenic walk but plenty evidence of predator control by DoC, a lot of fairly dense bush, the odd long distance view and road junctions galore. Overall 12.4km with 256metres ascent
