A fairly hard walk of 10-12km requiring 5-6hours on hunters' tracks and old roads in the dense Kaimanawa bush off Palmer Mill Road to get to the site of an old wood "splitters" camp. Starts off grunting up on to Cherry Ridge behind Sika Lodge.
