Trip Report Bike Ride, Hawkes Bay

Multi Day May 9 – 11th

Friday 9 May
Travel to Hawkes Bay and disembark at Clive for morning tea.
Bike to Clifton via Haumoana/Te Awanga along stopbanks and seaside, have lunch. Bike to
Red Bridge.
Drive to Mangarara Lodge, stay night, self-catered bbqs (meat and produce can be provided
by farm at a cost). OR we can eat at Patangata Pub – may be simpler option.
Cost of accommodation for 12 – approx $66pn, costs will go up the lesser the numbers.

Saturday 10 May
Bike Mangarara to Pourere Beach for lunch, then gravel road to Aramoana. Drive back to
Mangarara for night. Dinner as above.

Sunday 11 May
Drive to Te Mata Peak main gates car park, bike up/down. Bike Havelock North to Ahuriri
along stop banks/seaside. Lunch Ahuriri, then drive home.

before committing, as an early deposit will be required to hold the booking.
