The programme for this trip is as follows:-
Day 1 : Rangiwahia Hut. Ruahine Forest.
– 4 hours return.
Day 2, Morning : Escarpment Walk. Paekakariki to Pukerua Bay.
– 10k 3-4 hours.
Day 2, Afternoon: Titahi Bay. Options.
– Southern Clifftop Walk – 2.8 k, 1 hour return.
– Titahi Bay and Stuart Park. – 3.2 k l hour return.
– Titahi Bay Mural Walk. – 1-2 hours. 13 murals.
Day3, Morning: Zealandia. Wellington. 32 k of tracks to choose from.
Day 3 Afternoon: Botanical Gardens.
Day 4, Morning: Parata Track. Hemi Matenga Reserve, Waikanae.
– 4.5 k 2 hours return.
Day 4, Afternoon: White Cliff Boulders. Mangaweka.
– 1.5 hours including viewing.
Days 1&4 and Days 2&3 can be swopped depending on the weather etc.
I will organise accomodation once I know who’s coming.
Van costs will be about $60.
